Going Green with Energybits

Going Green with Energybits

Lately the “talk around town” has been about EnergyBits.  Those little green tabs, or “Bits” as the company calls them that are made up of 100% Spirulina Algae.  So what is Spirulilna Algae?  Well, if you haven’t already read my earlier post on Spirulina Algae then click HERE for all in the info.  Basically, Spirulina Algae is being touted as a superfood, full of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.  It provides long-lasting energy and aids in recovery times in athletes, which is something I definitely appreciate.  Even NASA is singing its praises saying that “1 kg of algae has the nutritional equivalent of 1,000 kg of fruits and vegetables.”

About a month ago I won a sample of EnergyBits on their Facebook page and thought I would give record how I felt each time I tried.  The first time was on a treadmill run at home.  Before consuming the Bits I was tired and sluggish.  I took the recommended 30 Bits and waited half an hour.  Within half an hour I was feeling more energize, similar to what I feel like after eating a good meal.  The sluggishness from my legs was gone and there were no gastrointestinal drawbacks (big bonus!!).  So I hit the treadmill for a half hour run, only stopping because my cranky left foot said I had to.  I felt great!  Had my foot been in prime condition I could have run till the cows came home!  First trial run (no pun intended, but still a good one) was a good one.  On to the second one.

As many of you already know I swim in a two-hour triathlon training class every Saturday morning at the ripe hour of 6:30 a.m.  What better time to try EnergyBits??  So again I took them a half hour before the class and headed off to the pool.  No sooner was I out of the locker rooms and I was beaming and raring to go!  My friend Steph was looking at me thinking, “How can anyone be this cheery at this hour?!”.  I swam like I’ve never swam before and I was sad when the class was over since I still had so much energy.  You can read more about HERE.

I’ve been so happy with EnergyBits that I’ve become a Brand Ambassador for them recently!  I feel it’s really important to share the good things in life with those around me and this is definitely one of those things.  I’ve always been one to tell my family and friends about new things that I’ve found that have been beneficial to my life so why not EnergyBits too!  So what exactly are EnergyBits?

The algae Superstar!

The algae Superstar!

As stated my EnergyBits they are “100% NON GMO, organically grown algae that have over 60% protein, 40 nutrients and just ONE CALORIE per tab.  They contain no sugar, no chemicals, no caffeine, no gluten, no soy, no additives of any kind.  Just 100% raw, 100% green, 100% nutrition from 100% spirulina”.  They will increase your energy, endurance, boost alertness, up your protein intake and could lower blood pressure.  It’s a great way to fuel for those long runs (or whatever activity you’re into) and get your greens at the same time!  Plus, it’s a food and not a supplement.  So you are eating a whole food which in this day and age is something many of us strive to find more of!

Little bits of health.

Little bits of health.

There are four different brands of Bits to choose from on their website - ENERGYbits, SKINNYbits, RECOVERYbits and VITALITYbits.  Each one is 100% organic and is beneficial to your health in a number of ways that are all listed on their site.

So go ahead and give them a try!  But wait….make sure you use my coupon code when ordering for 15% off your order!!!  Enter code “BFMomma” at the checkout and the rest is smooth sailing!

Have any questions I didn’t answer here?  Fire away!!

Have you tried spirulina powder?  This is a much easier, cleaner, faster alternative.  No mixing required!
